Upper Valley Oral Health Coalition Rallies to Advocate for Oral Health

Posted & filed under Communities Supporting Fluoride.

The Upper Valley Oral Health Coalition launched the Happy Hartford Teeth campaign in early 2014 to encourage fluoridation of the town’s water supply. Discussions are underway to educate local officials about the facts about water fluoridation, including that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has rated fluoridation as one of the great public health achievements of the 20th century, saying it is a safe and cost-effective way to prevent and control tooth decay. While a decision has yet to be made about fluoridating the Hartford, Vermont water supply, the Coalition will continue to advocate for the public health practice that has been proven to be safe and effective at protecting teeth.
