Study Finds No Effects of Fluoride Intake on Bone In Children and Adolescents
A cohort study conducted as part of the Iowa Fluoride Study (IFS)/Iowa Bone Development Study (IBDS) examined the relationship between fluoride intake and bone development in children and adolescents. “The findings suggest that fluoride exposures at the typical levels for most US adolescents in fluoridated areas do not have significant effects on bone mineral measures.”
