February is Children’s Dental Health Month. It is a good time for parents to recognize that all kids should see a dentist when their first tooth appears or no later than their 1st birthday. Getting care early is good both for kids and for our wallets. Dental costs for disadvantaged kids who receive a preventive dental visit by age 1 are lower than the same costs for their peers who go without this care.
