The Dallas City Council voted to on January 28, 2015 to approve a $1 million contract to fluoridate Dallas’ water supply for the next three years. The vote shows the city’s commitment to ensuring that the citizens of Dallas and the one and a quarter million people served continue to receive the benefits of community water fluoridation—a low-cost public health strategy that has been proven to be safe and effective at preventing tooth decay.
